THE MARKETING TEAM: Gaining the trust, CONfiDENCE OF CLIENTS

- BY BOMIE LANE S. CASTILLO

THE MARKETING department of any business company plays an important role in promoting its products and services by reaching out to prospective customers or investors and create a positive image for the company.

Sun.Star Davao takes big pride in its marketing team, composed of seven members, who are working hard to attend to the needs of the company's main market - the readers and advertisers.

"One of the biggest challenges that we are facing in the marketing department is dealing with our clients or investors," Sun.Star Davao Advertising Consultant Laisa Miraflores said.

Being in the company for five years now, Miraflores always aims to please the clients especially with regards the paper's content and design or layout. She said she always makes sure to always attend to the needs of the clients to encourage them to seal an advertising agreement.

"Aside from the day-today challenge to accommodate the clients, we also have to sustain the monthly financial quota set by the company," she said.

Chara Marie Ferran, the paper's marketing assistant, said they target five new clients a day.

"With the five clients, each has no certainty that it will agree with our proposal so it is a challenge for us to encourage them to partner with us," Ferran said.

Araw ng Dabaw and Kadayawan Festival have always been the best seasons for the marketing team as Sun.Star Davao has already developed a broad spectrum of partners for these events.

“As Sun.Star Davao’s advertising consultant, we always aim to build the trust and gain the respect of our clients by provding them the service they need in an efficient and timely manner," Christine Gambong said.

As much as the marketing team aims to boost the business of the company, Gambong said their team also wants to support the businesses of their clients.

"We want our clients to trust Sun.Star Davao through our best effort to cater to their needs and requests. We assure our existing and future clients that we are continuously evolving our job to fully meet their expectations," she said.

Marketing Head Mr. Bernarde B. Ilarde, Advertising consultant Ms. Rachelle Rubi, and Graphic Artist for Marketing Mr. Jael Kirk Dumacil, complete the company’s marketing team.

As Sun.Star Davao turns 22 this year, the marketing department is grateful to all the clients and investors who poured their trust to the company and is looking forward to more years of fruitful relationship with them.
