Younghusba­nds debut for Davao Aguilas FC

TAGUM CITY, DAVAO DEL NORTE - Fans can expect another packed match as the Younghusba­nd brothers, Phil and James, make their debut for Davao Aguilas Football Club at 4 p.m. today at the Davao del Norte Sports and Tourism Complex here against Global Cebu FC after their month-long internatio­nal break.

This, after Davao Aguilas FC players saw action both for the SEA Games and the recent Azkals match against Yemen.

Seven of the U22-Aguilas players took part in the SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia while five other players were called up to be part of the Azkals recently. With Reymart Cubon of U22, scoring a goal for the Philippine­s and the Younghusba­nd brothers scoring a goal each in the Azkals game.

Davao Aguilas FC also held tune-up matches in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with various Malaysian clubs in preparatio­n for their PFL return.

Davao Aguilas Football Club (DAFC), was establishe­d earlier this year as a profession­al football club, based out of Tagum, Davao del Norte, in Mindanao. Its mission is to help develop football in Davao and the entire region.

The coaching staff is headed by Gary Philips, an Australian football veteran, while DAFC’s Chairman is Jefferson Cheng.
