Water interruption in Tugbok, Sept. 15

- (Katrina Belen M. Roble)

DAVAO City Water District advises of a water service interruption on September 15, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. affecting some areas served by Tugbok WSS: entire Matina Pangi, some Catalunan Grande areas (Edullantes Compound, Mira Village, Restauro Village, Samantha Homes, Sarpha Village, Sitio Felomina, Sitio Guadalupe, and Sitio Toril) and some Matina Crossing areas (Guadalupe Village, Pangi Bridge, San Isidro Village, SK Compound, Tinago Drive, and Matina Pangi Road).

This water service interruption is needed for the tapping of the newly installed outlet pipe of the newly constructed Tugbok Reinforced Concrete Ground Reservoir No. 5 at Sitio Mahayahay in Tugbok.

The entire project is part of the preparation works for the Davao City Bulk Water Supply Project of DCWD which upon completion in 2019 will increase water pressure and improve water supply in Davao City. However, upon completion of the tapping works, there will also be immediate improvements in water service.

On behalf of the DCWD management, general manager Engr. Edwin V. Regalado asks for the understanding and coop-

eration of would-be affected customers and advises them to store enough water prior to the scheduled water service interruption. Water supply may be restored earlier if work goes smoothly or later if unforeseen problems arise.

The general public may visit DCWD website (www.davaowater.gov.ph) and official Facebook page (www.facebook. com/davaowater) or call the Central Information Unit / Call Center through the 24-hour hotline 297-DCWD (3293) and press “1” on their phone dial for the latest daily water updates. Contact 0927-7988966, 09255113293, and 0908-4410653 for other updates, complaints, queries, and matters pertaining to DCWD services.
