46 undergo stress debriefing course

KIDAPAWAN CITY - A total of 46 trained social workers from different local government units and hospitals underwent an Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD) Refresher Course at the Capitol Rooftop in Amas here yesterday.

The course intends to reduce the effects of stress to a victim after a certain disaster or calamity.

Cotabato Province Governor Lala Taliño-Mendoza delivered keynoted the activity that was highlighte­d by the signing memorandum of understand­ing (MOU) for Trained De-briefers.

The activity was facilitate­d by the Provincial Social Welfare Developmen­t Office (PSWDO) with the help of resource speaker Professor Framer Christy Mella.

Meanwhile, the province of Cotabato ranked fourth in the 2017 National Competitiv­eness Council's (NCC) Most Competitiv­e Provinces in the country.

Governer Taliño-Mendoza and other municipal and city officials received the plaques and certificat­ions from the NCC during the awarding ceremony held yesterday at the FB Hotel in Koronadal City.

Also bagging other awards were the Municipali­ty of Aleosan (Rank 32 Most Competitiv­e 3rd-4th Class Municipali­ty), Municipali­ty of Midsayap (Rank 11) and Kabacan (Rank 18 Most Competitiv­e 1st and 2nd Class Municipali­ty), Kidapawan City (Rank 24 Most Competitiv­e Component Cities) and Municipali­ty of Banisilan as Most Improved LGU.
