Who could Jacintha really be in ‘La Luna Sangre’?

-

When Jacintha Magsaysay was introduced as the latest addition to the cast of ABS-CBN’s primetime teleserye “La Luna Sangre,” many fans have started wondering about her role in the lives of Tristan S. Torralba (Daniel Padilla), Malia O. Rodriguez (Kathryn Bernardo), and Sandrino "Supremo" M. Villalobo (Richard Gutierrez).

Played by Angel Locsin, the inclusion of Jacintha has stirred the minds of several viewers, prompting them to share some theories. It can be recalled that the 32-yearold actress was the lead star of the first part of the supernatural-themed show in 2008. In “Lobo,” Angel was paired with Piolo Pascual. Meanwhile, she came back with John Lloyd Cruz in 2010 for “Imortal,” the sequel of “Lobo.”

In her Instagram account (@therealangellocsin), a number of her followers shared their respective take on what to expect from her character in “La Luna Sangre.”

“Siguro si Jacinta [sic] kakambal ni Lia. Kasi di ba kambal ang anak ni Lyka at Noah sa Lobo,” IG handle @yaw_bow wrote. Lyka and Noah are the roles of Angel and Piolo, respectively, in the original show.

Another fan, @jhnakmllrs_, has another theory, “Mas lalong gumanda nung bumalik c @therealangellocsin [heart emoji]. Una palang talaga eh nahuhulaan q na na babalik yan kasi tao na sya pero si Mateo d na babalik ksi nagging abo na [sic].” Angel portrayed the role of Lia R. Ortega-Rodriguez in “Imortal,” while John Lloyd gave life to the character of Mateo Rodriguez.

Other followers of the show may have their respective hypothesis as well, especially on the possible twist that would happen considering the arrival of Jacintha.

Last week, the Kapamilya Network introduced Angel as part of the cast.

According to ABSCBN News, Jacintha is the campaign strategist of Sandrino to ensure that he wins the presidential election.

“Jacintha is a very mysterious person. She used to live abroad and became popular after she helped a presidential candidate, who got involved in a big scandal, win. She is really good at what she does, so Sandrino looked for her so she can help him become the next president of the Philippines,” the actress revealed about her character.

It is worth noting that “La Luna Sangre” serves a reunion project for Angel and Richard. Their successful tandem was first seen in the Kapuso Network’s fantaserye, “Mulawin,” in 2004.

Catch “La Luna Sangre” on weeknights, right after “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
