"We are expecting in the next three to five years that Davao would look like Cebu or even more. Maybe we are still far from Manila but as what we can see with what is happening around us, we might already be going there," said Lantonio.

Among the developers that participated in the expo were Jenson Land and Realty Develoment Corp., Eurotower International Corp., Toshi Tim Land, Inc., Uraya Land Development Corp., Urban East Development Cor., Alveoland Proerties, Accendo Commercial Corp., Matina Enclaves, DMCI-PDI, Communities Davao, Inc., Filinvest Land, Suntrust Properties, Inc., Alson's Development and Investments Corp., and Mandani Bay, a guest developer from Cebu City.

They have also included booths of Mazda Davao and Suzuki Davao for those interested get cars as well together with a house. PS Bank also participated in the expo showcasing their housing and car loan programs.

Lantonio added they are planning on another round of the expo by the end of November of the first week of December when there are more shoppers especially that it is nearing the yuletide sesason. She said most of those inquiring are around 40 years of age.

Marivic Palacios, property consultant of DMCI Homes said those who

inquire from them come from different neighboring provinces and cities of Davao including those from General Santos City and Cotabato City.

"We will monitor them as for the turn over but the expo mainly wants the developers to gain more contacts and to reach out to the buying public," Lantonio said. JPA
