30-min power cut slated Oct 1 and 2

DAVAO Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct a 30-minute power interrupti­on on October 1 and 2, both anytime between 12:01 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. affecting customers in some parts of downtown and southern part of its franchise.

These service disruption­s will be necessary to facilitate the annual preventive maintenanc­e servicing of NGCP-Davao 150 MVA Power Transforme­r.

Customers affected are those in Agdao, portion of Bo. Obrero, Chinatown, San Pedro Square, and Boulevard going to Ecoland, Maa, Matina, Bangkal, Catalunan Grande, Ulas and Puan.

Also affected are customers in Catalunan Pequeno, Mintal, Tugbok, Calinan Proper, Baguio District up to Buda area.

Meanwhile, DCWD sumps in Bangkal and Tugbok will also be affected by these power interrupti­ons. However, duration of the power interrupti­on in the said dates will be for 10 minutes only.

Davao Light apologized for the inconvenie­nce brought about by this scheduled power interrupti­on. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoratio­n may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidabl­e circumstan­ces.
