AUTHORITIES requested a total of 265 personalities to undergo profiling and cross checking of their identities during their surprise operation on Friday dubbed as Oplan Bulabog in identified barangays in the city.

Davao City Police Office (DCPO) director Police Senior Superintendent Alexander Tagum said yesterday that during their 10th Oplan Bulabog operation which started at 6:30 a.m and ended at 8 a.m., they invited various personalities to undergo comparative analysis to further verify their identities.

The regular operation is also seen as an effective mechanism to prevent the possible spillover of crisis in Marawi City as well as the penetration of terrorists here.

These barangays include Bunawan, Sasa, and Toril.

The operation was conducted by Davao Citybased law enforcement units and security forces spearheaded by DCPO, together with Task Force Davao (TFD), Regional Public Safety Battalion (RPSB 11), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI 11), Criminal Investigation Detection Unit (CIDU) 11, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG 11), Maritime Group 11, Aviation Security Unit (Avseu) and Regional Crime Laboratory Office (RCLO 11), among others.

A total of 400 security personnel with the two patrol boats from the PCG, three sea patrol assets from the TFD and two mobile ambulances from the Central 11 were utilized during their operations.

Tagum earlier said that they haven’t arrested personalities yet during their operations who are suspected members of a terrorist group.

They conducted their operation in coordination with barangay officials who tipped them off that there are new personalities in their barangays.
