Olive Leaf: 2 years of providing wellness

MASSAGE has the power to silence a wandering mind and relax a worn out body.

For two years now, Olive Leaf Wellness Spa, one of the leading massage and spa centers in the metro has been gifting Dabawenyos with wellness, something that everybody deserves.

Christine Joy Vendivil Marco, in an interview, said that with their second anniversary, they commit anew to provide its clients what they truly deserve: relaxation and total wellness.

The two-storey spa center, which is also a member of Davao Wellness and Spa Association (Davwell), takes pride in their concoction of massage oils that can make one’s pampering fulfilling.

“Olive Leaf Wellness Spa's wide variety of massage oils, massage balms and body scrubs assures you that you don't just get total relaxation, but that your skin is well taken care of too,” she added.

The center’s carrier oil, she shared, is a mixture of VCO and EVO, which are both moisturizing and really good for the skin. The oils are also infused with Aromatherapy Essentials Oils that completes one’s relaxation and wellness journey.

The Olive Leaf, which resembles the high-end spas in Manila, has a Greek mythology concept, making one feel of being touched by the infamous Gods and Goddesses.

It has eight rooms with six therapists, and is open from 1 p.m to 1 a.m every Sundays to Thursdays and 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Earlier this year, the spa center received a Golden Globe award.

“Of course I was very honored and grateful that our efforts were not left unnoticed. Seeing my business serving people who need relaxation is already a dream realization and to be given these recognitions is more than enough,” Marco said.

The center’s massage therapies are with signature herbal pack, volcanic rock, banana leaf and bamboo. Also cupping massage therapy, named as Artemis’ Body Recovery Cupping Therapy, will leave no marks compared to the usual ventosa.

Marco said the massage and spa industry in Davao City is growing, so is the market’s demand for wellness.

At present, the company is looking for possible areas in the city for expansion.
