MARCO Polo Davao bags numerous medals at Kulinarya Ug Serbisyo of the South (Kusdelsur): Flavors of the South last September 26-29, 2017 at Abreeza Mall of Davao.
Michael Palo, Jemar Cabellada and Marlon Demapanag got the Gold medal in table setting category with the theme wedding.
Marco Polo Davao associates also got silver and bronze medals in various categories: Silver Medal– Buffet Centerpiece by Dionelo Balofiños, Silver Medal – Appetizer: Kadayawan Kinilaw and Trio Kinilaw Sa Dabaw by Erroll Laudato and Kevin Morales, Silver Medal – Cocktail: Southern Punch by Nathan Docot, Silver Medal – Cocktail: Southern Cinnamon Smoke by Lawrence Ibarra, Silver Medal – Dessert: Flourless Malagos Tableya Chocolate Cake by Hernard Ampon, Bronze Medal – Cake Decorating: Farm Garden Wedding by Joseph Milgo, Bronze Medal – Salad: Grilled baby Prawn Salad in Bamboo Boat, Bronze Medal – Soup: Chicken and Green Asparagus Tinola Soup, Bronze Medal – Sandwich: Wraps sa Davao by Ian Verde and Erroll Laudato. Bronze Medal – Mocktail: Davao Breeze by Nathan Docot.
Kusdelsur was organized by the Davao Tourism Association (Data). KUSDelSur is a threeday culinary and service skill competition and aims to uplift and inspire students and professionals alike in the culinary and service sector to improve their skills and reach for standards that are not only at par with the national level but can compete in the global arena as the Philippines play an active role in the Asean. Criteria for judging were based on point-system based on international standards.
