Employees Night

THE Local Government of Monkayo celebrated its 5th Employees Night last Friday, September 29.

No less than Monkayo Municipal Mayor Ramil Lao Gentugaya led the celebration, together with Sangguniang Bayan members Jocelyn CabagBurgos, Brendo Ceniza, Marlon Tumaob, Miguel Labrador and Ronald Manzano.

Employees from the Municipal Mayor’s Office, Municipal Administrator’s Office, Human Resource Management Office, Public Employment Services Office, General Services Office, Bids and Awards Committee Office, Municipal Assessor’s Office, Municipal Civil Registrar’s Office, Municipal Accountant’s Office and all the other offices and departments of the Monkayo LGU attended the event.

This event was to give the Monkayo municipal employees the chance to meet their colleagues from the different departments. It was also an event to give the employees a breather from their hectic work schedules. Because Gentugaya believes that a happy employee is a productive employee.

In his message to the employees, Gentugaya challenged them to be honored and be inspired of the fact that not everyone has the privilege and the chance to work with the government.

He further added that public service above self must be the guiding principle in being civil servants of the municipality.

The event was also to highlight the LGU’s campaign of a responsive local governance.
