IBP Davao wins a game at last

-

THE Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Davao finally brought an end to its almost a year of losing streak at the hands of Team Duterte-CMO by eking out a 93-82 win in Game No. 17 at the Genesis 88 Gym on Friday evening.

The Davao lawyers nearly tasted their first win last outing as they battled to a 81-81 draw.

This time IBP Davao made sure to get the job done and finally clinch its first victory in the series.

Armand Dioso was on fire and relentlessly towed IBP Davao to victory after several hearbreaks in the past.

He scored 29 points in what could be his best game in the series for lifting IBP Dava.

Secretary Christopher "Bong" Go sank 45 points including nine triples.

Go, the Special Assistant to President Rodrigo Duterte, came out with a remarkable performance but the off target supporting cast was sorely missed as they absorbed their first loss.

Team Duterte-CMO remains way ahead of the series with 13 wins over IBP's 1. Three games ended to a draw.

Although IBP's resolve keyed on taking its first win, solid contributions from supporting cast helped a lot in achieving the feat.

Gil Ciudadano chipped in 13 for IBP Davao.

But the intangible plays in both ends of the floor and the pleasant surprises courtesy of Ongkiko (12) and Ranon (10) paved the way for IBP Davao to march its way to victory.

John Flores and JR Rosal had 13 and 12 points, respectively, Team Duterte-CMO.
