Oneness, unity always yield positive results

-

DUBBED as the noblest of all professions, the teachers were honored nationwide with the highlight of the celebration conducted in Ibalong Centrum in Legazpi City, Albay on October 5. The celebration was attended by teachers and other teaching related officials and personnel from all regions of the country including the ARMM.

Here in Deped Davao Region, outstanding school leaders, teachers and district supervisors were also given recognition through the AGILA Awards held at Grand Regal Hotel, Davao City on October 2. Out of the finalists from 11 schools divisions of the region, 10 regional winners were declared for the following categories: elementary school teacher, secondary school teacher, ALIVE teacher, SPED teacher, IP Teacher, Multigrade teacher, ALS mobile teacher, elementary school principal, secondary school principal and public school district supervisor.

Secretary Leonor M. Briones hopes that each day is a teacher day to give honor to the men and women who sacrificed their own personal happiness just to serve the children with all their hearts and efforts.

For his part, Regional Director Alberto T. Escobarte encourages all teachers to continue to be precious gems in their respective places so that the children and the stakeholders will continue to hold them in high esteem as the great influencers that will last a lifetime.

Each schools divisions and the schools had also celebrated their own culmination activities. In the Division of Davao Oriental, what made the occasion meaningful is the celebration of the Division of its 50th year as schools division. Attended by all teachers, school heads and division personnel, Congresswoman Corazon N. Malanyaon, Governor Nelson L. Dayanghirang and Vice Governor Nino Sotero Uy made the day most unforgettable to all participants with their moral and financial support and most especially their physical presence to give inspiration to all teachers.

This Corner would like to give full recognition to the municipal officials of Boston, Davao Oriental headed by Mayor Rebecco Rosit, Vice Mayor Eleuterio Manaytay and all the SB members, PSDS Estela Montejo and the elementary and secondary school heads and all the sponsors for hosting the twin celebrations that turned out to be a huge success.

Again, it shows that if cooperation, unity and oneness are present in an endeavour, it will always yield a positive result more than what you are expecting to happen. More positive engagement will happen in all convergence among education stakeholders for the benefit of all the learners.
