Lala turns over water project
COTABATO PROVINCE - Giving constituents the basic necessities they need like safe and potable water is the foremost objective of the Provincial Government of Cotabato.
Here, the residents of Sitio Tawagon, Barangay Kibudtungan in the Municipality of Carmen led by barangay chairman Jimmy Cabrillos received P600,000worth of water system project from Governor Emmylou "Lala" J. Talino-Mendoza during the project turn over yesterday.
Cabrillos said, "Kini nga water project usa ka dako nga blessing para sa amua diri sa Kibudtungan. Salamat Gob Lala, salamat Serbisyong Totoo (This water project is a big blessing to all of us)."
Provincial officials Cotabato board members Jonathan Rivera, Roger Ryan Talino and Philippine Councilors League North Cotabato president Albert Rivera along with the municipal councilors of Carmen graced the turnover rites.
Meanwhile, thousands of senior citizens and elderly from all over the Province of Cotabato gathered during the Culmination Day program of the Elderly Filipino Celebration 2017 held at the Provincial Capitol Gymnasium, Amas, Kidapawan City Tuesday.
With the theme "Pagkilala sa Kakayahan, Ambag, at Paglahok ng mga Nakakatanda sa Lipunan", the senior citizens showed they still got the ability and capability as dynamic members of the society.
In her message, Governor Mendoza said the current generation owes to the elderly all the successes and triumphs it enjoy.
The Culmination Day Program was spearheaded by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office in line with the advocacy and programs of Serbisyong Totoo.
