Enough buses for Undas

-

THE Davao City Overland Transport Terminal (Dcott) assured the public that there would be enough buses to accommodate the influx of passengers travelling to their respective provinces during the observance of All Saints Day' and All Souls' Day.

Speaking during the AFP-PNP press forum at The Royal Mandaya Hotel yesterday, Dcott manager Aiza Usop said that last week, she called a meeting together with all the bus operators operating in the city to get their side if they could provide enough buses to cater the high demand of the riding public.

"Yes last week nag-

patawag ako ng meeting sa ating mga operators kung maaccommodate ba nila ang mga pasahero once dumagsa sila and according to them, nag commit sila na may mga reserved silang mga buses nila," she said.

They will also impose interval of 15, 20 and 30 minutes so that full or not full, these buses have to depart so that other buses can replace them immediately.

She observed last year, the highest number of passengers are going to Cagayan de Oro via Bukidnon Davao (Buda) highway because there is only one bus going there which is the Rural Tours bus.

This year's Undas, they expect an estimated 60 to 70,000 passengers and more than 1,000 trips of buses.JCR(For full story visit www.sunstar.com.ph/ davao/)
