Sun.Star Davao tops Scarevenger bowling
THE Sun.Star Davaobannered Team Labadami emerged champion in the Scarevenger VI Bowling Competition held at the SM Bowling Center in SM Lanang Premier yesterday.
Team Labadami's Sun.Star Davao sports reporter Adam B. Morrell defeated Rene "Tatay" Lumawag of Team Humba, 62-41, in a five-frame championship match presented by SM City Davao in cooperation with Mindanao Times.
In the elimination, Team Labadami, who also leaned on the services of Sun.Star Davao columnist Jinggoy Salvador, editor Cristina Alivio and reporter Juliet Revita, garnered 374 pinfalls in one game to arrange a titular showdown with the Rudolph Alama, Ian Garcia, Leebai Sinsuat Ambolodto and Lumawag-bannered Team Humba who topped the elimination round with a total of 376 pinfalls.
Team Bing Soo, meanwhile, placed third after rolling 364 pins.
Bing Gonzales of Team Bing Soo won the highest pinning with 139 pinfalls to romp away with the major prize courtesy of Sky Cable.
Team Bing Soo was also composed of Mindanao Times editorin-chief Amy Cabusao, Mindanews reporter R.A. Colina and Edge Davao reporter Zea Saveron.
Team Labadami, meanwhile, received P8,000 worth of SM gift certificates while Team Humba and Team Bing Soo pocketed P5,000 and P3,000 worth of SM gift certificates, respectively.
