Beware of False Academicians!

- -GGGuzon

I’m willing to burn fake books myself; most of the books, if not all, used by a particular Senior High School in Davao City, are fakes, written by unqualified people (like a pastor who’s background in Philosophy is limited to Philosophy 101 and 102 yet have the guts to publish a book on Introduction to Philosophy of Man in the name of money).

These books have not undergone reviews or consultations yet they are imposed by the principal and became part of the students’ assessments, i.e, students are obliged to purchase them during enrollment. Teachers who did not use those books precisely because they understand the contents to be frauds are now jobless.

Of course I fully understand that these teachers are part time by status and are subjects to this idiotic principal’s disposal, but as academicians we also have the moral obligation to ensure the quality of education as we are building the future of this already corrupt nation.

I cannot allow students to graduate and become professionals and leaders but have the way of thinking similar to the said principal in this particular institution I’m dealing with: corrupt, oppressive and a promoter of blind obedience.

I don’t really know if this principal has the blessing of the school, but if the school will take no action after knowing about the ‘scam’, I would assume this principal is nothing but a mindless dummy.

I’m calling all the legitimate and concerned teachers to give me your student’s fake books, I’m collecting them and in due time (if the problem persists) burn them in public so that the public will make their own review about these books. I don’t care if I go to jail, if that is the price of concerning oneself for the future and for the truth, so be it.

I am a college professor and this is beyond my personal interest, but I just cannot stand and witness injustice without feeling indignant.
