Envi stakeholders forum set Nov 29
IN line with the Environmental Awareness Month celebration, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Environmental Management Board (EMB 11) will hold a Stakeholders Forum on November 29 at the Ritz Hotel to address environmental concerns and discuss pressing issues.
Airshed focal person of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB 11) Melvin Dapitanon, during the Connect forum at SM Lanang Premier, said that this will be an avenue to gather various stakeholders to synergize efforts on how to further strengthen environment protection and conservation.
He added that there will be talks about the implementation of Vehicle Emission Limits for Euro IV/4 and In-Use vehicle Emission Standards, Public Utility Vehicles Modernization Program (PUVVMP) of the government and the new policies on Air Quality Management.
Representative from different concerned government agencies such as the Land Transportation Office (LTO), Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB), Department of Energy (DOE), Davao City Airshed GB, academe, transport sectors are expected to attend.
This year’s celebration is anchored on the theme: “Kilos Para sa Kalikasan: Building Climate-Resilient Philippines”, which implies the need to unite efforts in protecting the welfare of the environment towards sustainable development.
