Children’s Joy, DSWD join forces
PARTNERSHIPS bring about greater benefits, especially when it’s about helping those who have less in life.
Thus, the partnership of the Children’s Joy Foundation inc. (CJFI) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to reach out to children of the Mandaya tribe in barangay Andap in New Bataan, Compostela Valley, assured that a thousand schoolchildren and their parents were served.
CJFI has in its core program the Community Based-Support Program (CBSP) with programs and services like building of Day Care Centers, periodic provision of school supplies, computer literacy support and supplemental feeding. Barangay Andap was a recipient of a day care center from CJFI in 2015.
Populated by roughly 3,000 households from five sitios, school aged children received school supplies, colorful boots and raincoats, slippers, and socks.
The activity highlighted the spirit of oneness in giving and sharing with the theme: All We Need Is Love”.
