Xavier U footballer­s play in Minda Peace Games

CAGAYAN DE ORO - The Xavier University men’s football team has won two matches and lost once in the ongoing Mindanao Peace Games U22 Collegiate Championsh­ips at the Angel’s Field in General Santos City.

The Kicking Crusaders won over Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges of General Santos City, 3-1, Thursday and then defeated Compostela Valley State College, 2-0 Friday morning but bowed to Notre Dame University of Marbel, 1-3, in the afternoon of the 9-aside tournament.

They played Ateneo de Davao University yesterday but no results yet were available as of press time. Members of coach Ivan Caina team are skipper Jesse Pagcaliwag­an, Jesse, Clarence Paderanga, Kent Encarnacio­n, Jessan Garcia, Neil Rara, Noli Pangda, Rennier Española, Ahlirt Bahala, Adomson Deloria, Kyle Patron, Mark Golez, and Chazz Rosales.

Caina just started coaching the Kicking Crusaders this school year been actively joining competitio­ns and playing friendly matches.

The Mindanao Peace Games is their first out of town tournament this school year.
