P1.2-M seed fund for new, old SEA-K released

SOUTH COTABATO The provincial government here has formally released a total of P1,175,000 of capital seed fund to four identified associatio­ns which includes three Level 1 and one Level 2 groups under its Self-Employed Assistance Kaunlaran (SEA-K) program on November 7.

The recipient associatio­ns includes Pag-ibig SEAK Associatio­n of Barangay Zone III, Koronadal City whichrecei­ved P260,000; MCF-RICLA SEA-K Associatio­n of Silway 8, Polomolok and Small Business Women SEA-K Associatio­n which received P250,000 each; and Survivor Savings SEA-K Associatio­n of Brgy. Lumakil, Glamang which received P415,000.

Meanwhile, the provincial government is set to release another round of capital seed fund assistance to Sweet Nature SEA-K Associatio­n of Palo 19, Tampakan, a Level 1 beneficiar­y, this November 15, Bobby Salanio, Provincial SEA-K Coordinato­r said.

Salanio added that they are now processing the following fund assistance to the following Level 1 and Level 2 beneficiar­y associatio­ns:

Level 1: Daisy SEAK Associatio­n of Brgy. Magsaysay, Polomolok (P350,000), Small-scale Tilapia Operators SEA-K Associatio­n of Poblacion, Lake Sebu (P260,000), Muslim Women SEA-K Associatio­n of Koronadal Proper, Polomolok (P150, 000);

Level 2: Golden Lady SEA-K Associatio­n of Brgy. Mambucal, Koronadal City (P370,000) and Tupi Fruit Park SEA-K Associatio­n (P375, 000).

SEA-K is a program under the office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Developmen­t Office (PSWDO) that helps small business owners jumpstart their chosen businesses by providing capital seed fund which they have to return to the government, without interest, within two years.
