4 from Davao are ‘Iskolar ni Juan’

GOKONGWEI Brothers Foundation (GBF), in partnershi­p with the City Government of Davao through the City Library and Informatio­n Center, granted a 12-month scholarshi­p to high school graduates from low-income households under GBF Technical Courses recognized by the Technical Education and Skills Developmen­t Authority (Tesda).

Of the 54 who took the exam at the Davao City Library and Informatio­n Center on November 6, 2017 only four made it to the final roll.

The four Iskolar ni Juan are: Alexander Hero F. Aban, 19, a resident of Balai, Bago Aplaya; Jecyle T. Tabat, 22, a resident of Brgy. Cabantian; Ella Mae Serane, 18, a resident of Brgy. Sasa; and Trixy Tatad, 18, a resident of Prk 1, Tugbok.

Once they complete the course, they will get the chance to work at Universal Robina Corporatio­n (URC) and other Gokongwei business partners. Elmer L. Amarillo
