4 from Davao are ‘Iskolar ni Juan’
GOKONGWEI Brothers Foundation (GBF), in partnership with the City Government of Davao through the City Library and Information Center, granted a 12-month scholarship to high school graduates from low-income households under GBF Technical Courses recognized by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda).
Of the 54 who took the exam at the Davao City Library and Information Center on November 6, 2017 only four made it to the final roll.
The four Iskolar ni Juan are: Alexander Hero F. Aban, 19, a resident of Balai, Bago Aplaya; Jecyle T. Tabat, 22, a resident of Brgy. Cabantian; Ella Mae Serane, 18, a resident of Brgy. Sasa; and Trixy Tatad, 18, a resident of Prk 1, Tugbok.
Once they complete the course, they will get the chance to work at Universal Robina Corporation (URC) and other Gokongwei business partners. Elmer L. Amarillo
