UPMin ‘The Inaugural Lectures’, Nov. 15
“THE Inaugural Lectures Series 2 Knowledge x Change” will be held on November 15, 2017 at the University of the Philippines Mindanao, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
“Positive Discipline for Everyday Life” will be the opening lecture by Dr. Maria Josefa Petilla. Instructor Maynard Usares talks about cacao farmers in “Bitter, Sweet, or Something in Between” at 11 a.m. Instructor Sherelyn Evangelio discusses transport options for Davao City in “Waiting in Vain? Solving our Transportation Woes” at 11:30 a.m..
The afternoon session will have Dr. Eufemio Rasco of the National Academy of Science and Technology who will talk about plants in a societal context in “Breeding for Conflict, Breeding for Cooperation”; Asst. Prof. Cyrose Silvosa-Millado will present “Much Ado about Cloning”, and Instructor Roxanne Aguinaldo discusses credit for the poor in “Till Debt Do Us Part?”.
Venue is at the CHSS AVR at the Administration Building, UP-Mindanao.
