P120k shabu seized from teenage female

THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (Pdea) 11 arrested a teenage female and seized P120,000 worth suspected illegal drugs in a drug-bust operation in Barangay Ising, Carmen, Davao del Norte province on November 13, Monday.

Pdea-Davao officerin-charge Iav Naravy Duquiatan identified the suspect as Judie Oquias Sugatan, 18, who hails from Purok 6 in Barangay Sta. Maria in Nabunturan town in Compostela Valley province.

Duquiatan said the office had been conducting surveillance and monitoring against the suspect following the reports about her illegal trade. She added that the suspect has been operating in the region.

Sugatan was arrested around 7:10 p.m. on Monday after she sold about 10 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu, worth P120,000 to an agent who acted as buyer.

Recovered from the possession of the suspect were the 10 grams suspected shabu, one Nokia brand cellular phone, and the drug-bust money.

Sugatan is currently detained at the Pdea-Davao jail facility, while the seized suspected illegal drugs were placed at Pdea’s Laboratory Service for qualitative and quantitative examination.

A case for violation of the Section 5 (Selling of Dangerous Drugs) under the Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is being prepared against the suspect. ICT
