Charges being readied vs 2 robbery suspects

-

ROBBERY with frustrated murder case is being readied against the two suspects identified as the ones behind a robbery incident where the victim was stabbed and is still in critical condition.

Davao City Police Office (DCPO) spokesperson Police Senior Inspector Ma. Teresita Gaspan said yesterday that the investigation team of Sta. Ana Police Station went to Metro Davao Medical and Research Center (MDMRC) on Thursday evening where Pauline Chan Ortiz, 26, a general accounting supervisor is confined, where she identified the suspects through a rogue gallery.

“[It] further confirms the previous information given by an informant that the suspects who are his former associates in past criminal activities were the ones involved in that stabbing and robbery case,” Gaspan said.

The stabbing incident happened at Palm Village Subdivision in Barangay Paciano Bangoy, Davao City last November 5 where suspects carted away her cellphone and cash after stabbing her several times.

The two have cases with Sta. Ana Police custody for involvement in a gang riot and possession of illegal firearms and ammunitions. A case was already filed against them for Violation of Republic Act 10591 or Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

The suspects were identified as Sherlito Peralta Abude Jr., 20, laborer and resident of San Vicente, Gotamco, Barangay Leon Garcia, Agdao who was in possession of one unit Armscor revolver 202 Caliber .38 SPL w/o serial number loaded with 5 live ammunitions; and Ervin John Bacornay Aparicio, 18 years old, resident of Purok San Roque, Gotamco, Brgy Leon Garcia, Davao City.

Aparicio was also found in possession of an improvised handgun (sumpak) with one live ammunition.

They are set to face another charge for the robbery incident.
