Artists here for The Scholarship of Hope, a project of Bukas Loob sa Diyos – Davao District

-

KUH Ledesma and Pops Fernandez are set to perform here in Davao City for their Power of 2 concert on November 29, 2017 at the SMX Convention Center, SM Lanang Premier.

This event is a fundraising concert of the Bukas Loob sa Diyos (BLD) Davao Foundation for its Scholarship of Hope project, which supports the education of under privilege children who may not necessarily be academically gifted.

These children are indigents, either abandoned or left by parents who are jailed for drugs, or whose parents simply cannot provide even for their daily sustenance.

The Scholarship of Hope program provides not only the school needs of the children but nourishment so that they can concentrate on their studies and not on their grumbling stomachs.

While these children start school with not much expectation to excel, it has been proven that if they are nurtured, they can reach their full potential as some scholars graduated as valedictorian and with highest honors.

The Scholarship of Hope is unique in the sense that values formation is also given to the families during home visits so that with proper care, guidance, and support, their children will reach their full potential to become the pillar for their families to get out of poverty.

The BLD Dava1o Foundation hopes that with the proceeds from the Power of 2 -- Live in Davao concert, more children can benefit from the Scholarship of Hope.

Manila soprano singer Marife Villacorta; actor John Medina; and singer and songwriter Jane Joseph will also guest durin the concert, which is presented by Creative Ideas.

Ticket prices are pegged at P2,000 for gold; P1,500 for silver; and P1,000 for bronze. Ticket outlets are at the Lots for Less Stores; JRMT at Bo. Obrero; and Natasha at Ecoland.
