Conducted in partnership with the City Government of Davao, the competition was participated in by 40 schools for the Elementary level, which was held in the morning and by 37 schools for the Junior High School level.

The Quiz tested students’ knowledge on categories involving water namely, Water Properties, Earth’s Water, Science of Water, History of Drinking Water, and Computation. The coverage also included Laws and Jurisprudence of Water Districts in the Philippines.

Prior to the competition proper, DCWD together with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the Department of Education (DepEd) evaluated all the questions to ensure their accuracy and appropriateness for the participants. The evaluators who also served as contest judges were Dr. Lanie Marie D. Gella and Dr. Rogelio A. Rodel for the Elementary and Renier John P. Cagurol and Vilma E.
