3 districts tapped for World Aids day
health districts representing north and south areas in Davao City were especially tapped for the observation of the World Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (Aids) day on December 1, 2017.
Davao City Reproductive Health and Wellness Center (RHWC) head Jordana Ramiterre yesterday, during the weekly flag ceremony, said that preevents prior to December 1 were conducted in three districts for the singing and dance competitions.
“Kung sino yung nanalo from Buhangin, Tugbok, and Bankerohan, will be competing at Almedras Gym,” she said.
Ramiterre said that winners of the competitions will be proclaimed on the afternoon event.
“Medyo busy ngayon ang World Aids day because we know we need to work hard because HIV is increasing. We want to
make everybody aware, hindi lang dito sa city central, ginawa natin yung coverage but also in different health districts representing the south and north,” she said.
Meanwhile, aside from these competitions, Department of Health officials headed by Department of Health Secretary, Dr. Francisco Duque III and officials from the DOH, and also local ofyugan, ficials in the city will participate in the forum on access of testing for children in the HIV-Aids program in the morning.
