Champion’s League to open Jan. 7

THE Basketball Avenue “Champion’s League” will open on January 7, 2018 at the Rizal Memorial Colleges (RMC) Fil Oil Flying V Activity Center.

In a press conference held at the RMC Activity Center yesterday, Cherrylume x Mark Anthony Constructi­on and Supply vice president Bong Tan, Armando Armancio and the Basketball Avenue Team launched the event that aims to provide avenue for basketball players to showcase their skills while promoting camaraderi­e and healthy lifestyle.

“We, Cherrylume, a world class galvalume corrugated sheet provider, is happy to support Basketball Avenue’s Champion’s League since our company has been supporting local sports group and teams the past years through the initiative of our president Elmer Ngo,” Tan said.

Barangay councilor Armancio, speaking on behalf of Barangay 10-A captain Mark Anthony Cayetano, said they are elated that the tournament received corporate backing.

Also in attendance during the launching were Hungry Ape manager Kevin Tan along with his colleague Ted Villa Abrille, Reefside forward Mikki De Hitta, Cgonz Constructi­on Almar Canda, Cherrylume manager Ryan Kue and RMC administra­tion head Vlad Rosello.

A total of 10 teams confirmed their entries in the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP)sanctioned league including Cherrylume, Hungry Ape, Cgonz Constructi­on, Reefside, Spartans, Metro Poker, Macs Constructi­on, Upside Down House, Three Seven and Myrzia’s Koleksyon.

Six slots are still open for reservatio­n.

The champion will receive P60,000 while the next two placers will pocket P30,000 and P20,000, respective­ly.
