all those who contributed to this award.

“Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this very special award for Davao City,” Ancajas posted on his Facebook account.

Meanwhile, aside from the award for disaster response, the city also bagged the Hall of Fame for the Most Child Friendly City for Highly Urbanized Category.

This is the sixth time the city bagged the award, as it won the same award in 1998, 1999, 2013, 2014, and 2015.

Davao City Social Services and Development Office (CSSDO) head Maria Luisa T. Bermudo even in previous interview said that she is very positive that the city can get the award.

“I am positive because we really have what it takes to get the hall of fame. We did our best for our programs. We are always in the forefront in our initiatives and our best practices for our children. Although we encounter issues and problems, the fact is we face them, and we created programs through our partnership with the local government organizations,” she said. KVC
