35 centenaria­ns get cash incentive from SoCot SOUTH COTABATO

- The Provincial Government of South Cotabato has formally turned over its cash incentive worth P20,000 each to its centenaria­n citizens during a formal ceremony conducted at EMR Center, Koronadal City last December 15.

A total of 35 centenaria­ns, together with their families and representa­tives, received their cash incentive, the Provincial Social Welfare and Developmen­t Office (PSWDO) reported.

Koronadal City have the most number of centenaria­n beneficiar­ies with nine followed by the municipali­ties of Banga having 6, and Surallah with five.

Meanwhile, 10 of the recepients were already deceased during the turnover and were represente­d by their immediate family in the occasion.

The oldest recorded centenaria­n during the ceremony was 111 years old from Barangay Morales, Koronadal City.

Apart from the P20,000 cash incentive, the recepients will also receive a lifetime cash assistance worth P2,000 per month and a yearly health care assistance worth P30,000 which they could avail at any government hospitals in the province.

South Cotabato has allotted an initial budget of P700,000 for the implementa­tion of this program this year.

Another batch of centenaria­ns will receive their cash incentives and other assistance next year, PSDWO said.
