Sue does first onscreen kiss with Arjo

MANILA – Sue Ramirez is grateful that her first-ever onscreen kiss was with Arjo Atayde in their ongoing series “Hanggang Saan.”

The actress said Atayde made her feel at ease while they were doing the scene.

“Thankful ako kay Arjo dahil hindi niya ginawang mahirap for me,” she told PUSH. “It’s my first-ever onscreen kissing scene so I am thankful to him na walang awkwardness, very comfortable kami and alam namin na work talaga so hindi siya naging gano’n kahirap gawin.”

Ramirez also explained what makes their tandem work.

“Kailangan kasi siguro pagumaarte maganda ‘yung working relationship niyo as partners and me and Arjo have very good working relationship. As in friends kami so madali na sa amin komonek sa isa’t isa sa mga eksena,” she said.

Atayde echoed the same sentiments in his interview with ABS-CBN News at the sidelines of the Just Love Christmas Special.

“Ang dami ko pang natututunan. It’s so fun learning. It’s so fun doing it especially kapartner ko si Sue. And I am also working with my mom (Sylvia Sanchez),” he said.

Atayde admits he enjoys playing his character on the show, which is very much unlike his previous role in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”

“Kakaiba eh. I think naninibago lahat ng tao kasi for six years puro kontrabida and then all of a sudden biglang a smiling character on screen. It’s a totally different take siguro. I am seriously enjoying what I am doing. It’s a new genre kasi for me,” he said.

Nonetheless, both Ramirez and Atayde are overwhelmed by the positive reviews “Hanggang Saan” has been receiving.
