Tagum childhood care feted
ADDING to the City of Tagum’s luster on child friendly local governance, the city government had been recognized by the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Council for its outstanding performance in delivering services that support early childhood care and development in the community.
The Local Government of Tagum was awarded with a Plaque of Recognition for its achievement on groundbreaking ECCD services at the community level, during the 2017 ECCD Inter-Sectoral Dialogue cum Partners Recognition Day.
Alongside Tagum City, selected LGUs from all over the Philippines received the same recognition. The ECCD Council had examined the LGUs with the best practices and programs supporting the early childhood care and development in their respective communities, to determine the awardees.
The awarding rites was held last December 12, 2017 at Seameo Innotech, Quezon City, Manila.
No less than Mayor Allan L. Rellon received the award, who, on the same day, also received the Crown Award for the city’s excellence in nutrition programs, at the Philippine International Convention Center, Manila.
These latest awards conferred to the City Government of Tagum are the outcome of the city’s programs in line with the Health and Social Services components of Mayor Allan L. Rellon’s Eagle Wings Program. Drex Rafols/ CIO Tagum
