Merrier Christmas for job orders

DAVAO DEL SUR- Job order (JO) employees in different local government units in the province will have a merrier Christmas after the Sanggunian­g Bayan and Sanggunian­g Panlungsod in Digos City approved the cash gift for them according to rules of the Civil Service Commission.

In Digos City, Vice-mayor Reynaldo Hermosisim­a said the cash incentives for the each JO is P9,000 and it will depend on the number of months one was contracted.

The CSC rules stated that all JO employees who had worked not not later than December 15 are entitled to receive cash gift.

Hermosisim­a said JOs who worked more than three months will only receive 50 percent of the full amount but if less than three months only 40 percent and 30 percent for less than two months.

Regular employees, however, will also receive bonus depending on their salary grade.

Hermosisim­a said salary grade 25 and above including the mayor will recieve P50,000 while salary grades 23 and 24 will claim P40,000, salary grade 18-22 will have P30,000 and salary grade 1 to 17 with P25,000.

In Matanao, Davao del Sur, Vice-Mayor Alfredo Panerio said they have approved the supplement­al budget during Tuesday's afternoon session.

The budget contains the bonuses for their JOs who will each get P5,000 before Christmas.

The same amount will also be given to JOs in other municipali­ties depending on the availabili­ty of funds.
