8990 goes retro Top marketing performers feted
2 Toyota Avanza vehicles, 2 multicabs raffled off
ALL throughout the evening of December 11, 2017 was a trip down memory lane as 8990 Housing Development Corporation (HDC) feted its top marketing awardees for Davao City and General Santos City branches during a Retro Christmas party at the SMX Convention Center, SM Lanang Premier in Davao City.
Music from the 1980s greeted guests who entered the function room, which was transformed into a grandiose retro party venue by renowned Noel Tanza of Golden Touch.
The birthday of 8990 HDC general manager Mary Ann T. Chua was also celebrated during the special evening wherein two Toyota Avanza vehicles and two multicabs were raffled off.
Chua, during her welcome message, said it was the first time they joined together the Christmas party of the two Mindanao branches.
“This party is intended for all of you as our way of saying thank you for choosing Deca Homes as your product,” Chua said.
She added, “We are also gathered here to celebrate Christmas and to bring back the glory to the Almighty Father for all the blessings and for all the sales you have brought us this 2017.”
Alexander Ace Sotto, 8990 chief operations officer (COO), for his part, thanked all unit managers, sellers, partners, officers and staff for celebrating the joyous occasion together. He also cited Chua and her team for putting up a wonderful party.
“It has been another year, another chance to share our company’s vision to provide a decent shelter to the Filipino family,” Sotto said.
He continued sharing that 2000 years ago, Joseph and Mary travelled a long distance from Nazareth to Bethlehem just to find a place to give birth to baby Jesus. The family needed a shelter but instead of a well-dressed apartment, they found a manger where Jesus was born.
Sotto underscored that the birth story of Jesus “somehow relates so much in what we are doing here in 8990”.
“A family is in need of a house to shelter their loved ones and we are all here to provide them that house which they soon will call home. Thats how important and fulfilling our jobs are,” he said, adding that a shelter is very vital to a person or to a family. And Christmas, he added, is all about love and family.
He also said that 8990 is one big family that is united and determined to reach its goal of providing decent and affordable housing that buyers can call home and where they can celebrate Christmases with their loved ones.
