PAL, now closer to home

-

It's one of the best moves the Flag Carrier has done this year. Along with the launching of new flights from Davao City, making these local destinations easier to reach, the opening of the new ticket office on the south side of the city is definitely good news.

I can say, PAL is now closer to home. Yes, I live in Matina, a stone’s throw away form the new PAL ticket office. Lucky me, I don't have to go all the way to the downtown area or the airport to get my tickets most especially on sale seasons. I bet I will be first on line.

With the new ticket office, Harry Inoferio, AVP for Sales Philippines, said, “What drove us to make this big decision in our part to have another channel in Davao is there is a huge demand for travels now between Davao and Visayas and also Manila. We also recently launched more flights out of Davao to Tagbilaran, Zamboanga and Cagayan de Oro. We are also studying how we can add more flights, so we have to prepare way ahead.”

The new Matina Ticket Office will serve the southern part of the city, said Victor Suarez, PAL Area Head Mindanao. “The sales is picking up and once the riding public will know we are here, we expect a lot of passengers to come. More travelers and easy access to services, we have this office to serve them,” he added.

Present in the affair was PAL President and COO Jaime Bautista, “This latest addition to PAL’s various touch points here in Davao manifests our commitment to serve your travel needs, offering the PAL brand of warm and caring service that comes from the Heart of the Filipino.”

“PAL is currently in expansion mode. We are happy to make Davao our newest hub city, from which we are progressively adding routes to various key destinations in Mindanao and other parts of the country.”

Davao City Mayor, Sara Z. Duterte graced the affair and congratulated PAL on its expanding business in Davao City and growing business in the Philippines, “I’m sure passengers like me will be happy about all the good news that you have.”

The City Mayor lightened up the affair by making everyone in the room laugh with her request directed to the PAL President. “Hangyo lang namo, sir, pwede more promo fares?” (Can we request more promo fares?).

Southerners, rejoice! The new PAL ticket office in Matina (next to the MacArthur Highway corner Tulip Drive traffic light) is now open to serve us. Let’s go #FlyPAL!
