2018: A year of action
DAVAO ORIENTAL -- Starting off the year 2018 with a good momentum, Governor Nelson L. Dayanghirang last January 8 led the Monday Fellowship – the first Monday of the year, inspiring the Capitol workforce and partner agencies to continue their support to the Provincial Government’s endeavors as it plans to embark on a “year of action” wherein a lot of programs and projects that will benefit the people of Davao Oriental will be implemented.
He urged all the provincial government employees to renew their respective commitment to serving the people of Davao Oriental.
“This year, we have to double our efforts in working to achieve our goals and objectives. We need to maximize our pace,” the governor said, urging everyone to “learn from past mistakes and continue to improve their performance.”
The governor likewise thanked all the employees for the development that the province has achieved in the past years.
During the fellowship, grand prizes which were sponsored by the Provincial Governor’s Office were given away. Prizes include a P5,000 cash price, sacks of rice, grocery items, a washing machine, rice cooker, and other kitchen wares.
Right after the fellowship, Governor Dayanghirang had his first official meeting of the year with all department heads and heads of key national agencies as he signified his intention of continuing to work closely with them.
"I hope for unity and one direction to improve our province. Remember that the basis of our success is to improve the economy and that everybody will be benefited. I hope we become more aggressive in our efforts,” he said.
