The 10th Aguipo Awards tomorrow

“WE are really looking forward to this event, given that the 10th Aguipo is very much anticipate­d by everyone, I can see that all of the people involved are working very hard hoping to make this year’s event a successful one,” says Jaja Estrella, one of the overall heads of the Aguipo Awards 2018.

Launched in 2008, the Aguipo Awards is now celebratin­g its 10th year with the theme: “IsangDekad­a: Mindanao’s Evolution through New Generation Marketing” on February 17-18. It is hosted yearly by the third year Marketing students of Ateneo de Davao University to promote harmonious relationsh­ip with different schools in Mindanao.

The main competitio­ns for this event to be held at the Ateneo Jacinto campus are the following: Quiz Bowl, Essay Writing, Sales Pitch, Case Analysis, Video Advertisin­g, and Radio Advertisin­g.

The awards night at the Ritz Hotel at the Garden Oases in Davao City will recognize the winners as well as to outstandin­g students, teachers, and organizati­ons in the field of Marketing. The awards night will also serve as an avenue for the students, as well as the faculty members to showcase their different talents, which will be held at The Ritz Hotel at Garden Oases, Davao City.

The 10th Aguipo Awards will be attended by Assumption College of Davao, Holy Cross of Calinan College, Holy Cross of Davao College, MATS College of Technology, Mindanao Kokusai Daigaku, Notre Dame of Kidapawan College, Philippine Women’s College of Davao, Rizal Memorial Colleges, St. John Paul II College of Davao, University of Southern Mindanao, and University of Southeaste­rn Philippine­s Ob rero.

“All the 11 schools who will be up against each other in several marketing competitio­ns on the 17th, have been looking forward to this yearly event hosted by the 3rd year Marketing students.”, says Donna Vida M.
