Davao City Mayor Sara Z. Duterte asked Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to help not just their families, but volunteer to help in nation-building as well.

Speaking during the Tapang and Malasakit (TM) gathering in Macau, China, which was aired live by Duterte Today Facebook Page last Saturday, the mayor asked the OFW workers, to help reduce the problems of Duterte Administration.

"Huwag kalimutan na magvolunteer tayo para tulungan ang ating kababayan para maging progresibo, i-develop ang ating respective communities. Alam ko malaki ang pangangailangan ng pamilya ninyo pero huwag niyong kalimutan na tumulong sa kapitbaghay

ninyo sa sariling barangay ninyo., sa mga sariling communities nino dahil kung maganda ang barangay ninyo that is one less of a problem na iisipin ni President Duterte," she said.

Duterte-Carpio made Davao City an example, saying that they are doing the best they to address what is needed, so that it becomes their contribution to the present administration.

The city mayor said that main purpose of Tapang and Malasakit is to reunite Duterte supporters last election to give back to the community.

She reported in front of thousands of OFWs the accomplishment of TM including the assistance extended to Marawi. She also said that Tapang and Malasakit is tying up with the Armed Forces of the Philippines to put up a memorial site for the soldiers who died during the siege.

On top of it all the city mayor expressed her admiration to the OFWs in their sacrifice for their families. She highlighted that she could not do what they have done, leaving their families behind.

Thousand cheered and shouted as they vouched for the next president of the Philippines.

"Tingnan natin, pansin ko kasi sa buhay ko, kahit ano ang plano mo there is always something na mangyari na hindi masunod ang mga plano mo, hindi masunod ang gusto mo all because we do not control our fate because it's always God's plan. Yun ang na-experience ko sa buhay ko, ilalagay ka talaga ng Diyos kung saan niya tingin at gustong nandoon ka," she said.

She said during her speech she cannot leave her family behind in exchange for senatorial or congressional post, which is why she expressed admiration to the OFWS in their sacrifice.

The mayor also attended another Tapang at Malasakit gathering at Hongkong yesterday together with her brother Sebastian "Baste" Duterte, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) secretary Alan Peter Cayetano and many other members of TM team.

Thousands also cheered for Presidential son, and brother of Duterte-Carpio, Sebastian "Baste" Duterte during his speech at the stage in Hongkong, yesterday.

"Alam ko napakalaki ng sakripisyo ninyo, gusto kong sabihin sa inyo muli kayo ang mga tunay na mga bayani, maraming salamat," Sebastian Duterte said.

"Mabuhay kayo lahat mahal na mahal namin kayo sa Pilipinas na iniwan ninyo," he added.

He also encouraged OFWs to be patriotic, to love the country.
