Thousands of Dabaonons benefit in various services offered
NEW CORELLA, Davao del Norte - During the second day of the Best People Festival of Services, more than a thousand Dabaonon have already benefited in various services in Barangay Limbaan, New Corella, Davao del Norte.
On February 19, there were 1,200 beneficiaries who were listed and on the following day, another 1,000 beneficiaries were able to benefit in around 100 various services offered by the Provincial Government of Davao del Norte, several national agencies and local government offices in New Corella. The beneficiaries came all the way from barangay Cabidianan, Macgum, Sto. Niño, Suawon and Limbaan.
Davao del Norte Governor Anthony del Rosario expressed his happiness that the people in Davao del Norte were able to converge for this weeklong activity to experience the biggest, widest and most comprehensive service caravan in Davao del Norte.
He said they decided to make the activity a weeklong one so that there will more people who can benefit in the service caravan.
"Atong pag-pyestahan ang halos usa ka gatos nga mga programa, proyekto ug serbisyo nga regular nga ginahatag sa Kapitolyo, national government agencies ug munisipyo,” Gov. del Rosario said.
The Festival of Services was also an opportunity for the governor to listen to his constituents on what programs are needed by them.
“Kini nga Festival of Services usa usab kini ka maayong pamaagi aron ako mismo makadungog sa inyong mga panginahanglan. Unsa ba gayod ang tama nga proyekto ug programa nga makatubag sa inyo. Dapat atong ma-estoryahan ug maplanohan (This Festival of Services is one way so that I can listen and know what your needs are, what programs and projects are needed to answer your needs. These should be talked about and planned),” the governor added.
Meanwhile, New Corella Mayor Rhodora Alcoran was grateful that the caravan of services was held in her area.
“Nagpasalamat ko labaw sa tanan sa probinsya sa Davao del Norte headed by the Honorable governor Anthony del Rosario sa inisyatibo pinaagi niining caravan of services nga itunol ang tanang serbisyo gikan sa probinsya ngadto sa baryo," she said.
She also noted that most people lined up in the medical and dental services of the caravan.
"Actually this is really suited sa panginahanglan sa atong katawhan kay gianhi na man gyod sa atong barangay,” Mayor Alcoran ended.
