AboitizPow­er donates electrical supplies

To Lanao Sur electric coop to support Marawi rehabilita­tion

IN support of the rehabilita­tion efforts to rebuild the war-stricken Marawi City, Davao Light and Power Co. and the Cotabato Light and Power Co., both subsidiari­es of the Aboitiz Power Inc., donated P3.1 million and P600,000, respective­ly, worth of electrical supplies last February 21, 2018 to the Lanao del Sur Electric Cooperativ­e Inc..

Davao Light Vice-President for Engineerin­g Mark Valencia represente­d the electric utilities during the ceremonial turnover held at the Task Force Bangon Marawi Field Office, Mahogany Hills in Iligan City.

“We hope that through this donation, we will be able to help hasten the power restoratio­n works in Marawi City. It was indeed a humble opportunit­y for us to extend help to rebuild Marawi,” said Engr. Valencia.

Also present during the turnover were Secretary General of Housing and Urban Developmen­t Coordinati­ng Council (HUDCC) Usec. Falconi V. Millar, Chairman of Task Force Bangon Marawi Sec. Eduardo D. del Rosario, NEA Acting Director Ramon Carlos O. Florese, Paralegal of Lasureco Omikhalsom Maruhom, executive secretary of Lasureco Atty. Mhyra Jane M. Abbas and VP for Government Relations of Aboitiz Equity Ventures Christophe­r M. Camba.

The electric supplies donated include distributi­on transforme­rs, poles, wires and other electrical hardware.

Ultimately, Davao Light and Cotabato Light will continue to help in the advancemen­t of the communitie­s where they serve and where they are needed. DLPC
