BOI ok's 13 investments
Projects are in Soccsksargen, Davao Region
THE 13 newly registered investments under the Board of Investments Davao Extension Office (BOI-DEO) as of February 2018 are mostly agriculture and real estate projects.
In a data provided by BOI-DEO, there are four investments approved in January 2018.
The projects include Lacewood Subdivision in Brgy. Katangawan, General Santos City (P318.35 million). It employs about 168 individuals. The project is owned by Jubilance, Inc.
APO Agua Infrastructure, Inc’s Davao City Bulk Water Supply Project in Tamugan District, Davao City was also approved January of this year. It costs around P13.32 billion and employs around 94 individuals. Both the 8990 Housing Development Corporation and the Yuson Excellence Soberano, Inc. had approved low-cost housing projects January of this year which are the Deca Homes Gensan 1 in Brgy. Calumpang, General Santos City and the Mesatierra Garden Residences in E. Jacinto Ext., Davao City respectively.
The Deca Homes project cost around P109.96 million and employs 124 individuals while the MesaTierra is around P314.39 million and currently has 812 employees. All the projects registered in January 2018 are all 100 percent Filipino-owned.
In February of this year, five different investments were registered under Musahamat Farms, Inc., an export producer of Cavendish banana in Mabini, Compostela Valley. They have expanded their investments in Calinan, Davao City; Mancao, Pantukan, Compostela Valley; Piansay, Pantukan, Compostela Valley; Tandanua, Pantukan, Compostela Valley, and Mabini Compostela Valley. The data from BOI-DEO has yet to include the cost per investment and how many employers are employed by the projects.
Realty Investments Incorporated’s AdDU Homes Loyola Heights in Talomo Dist., Davao City cost around P171.16 million and currently employs about 361 people.
Another real estate company, the Palm Woods Realty Corp. had invested a total of P539.75 million for their Palm Woods Residences in Brgy. Lagao, General Santos City which now employs about 20 people.
ERD-Express Foods Solutions Corporation is a new producer of table eggs and culled layer in Silway 8, Polomolok, South Cotabato. They have invested about P95 million and has about 42 people under them.
Avior Hotel, located in Santiago Blvd., General Santos City, is registered under the company EJ Yomon, Inc. It was also approved by BOI-DEO February of this year with a total investment cost of P165.46 million. They currently employ 36 people.
