Rave party cancelled

- By Jennie P. Arado

ARCADIA, supposed to be the first indoor rave party in Mindanao, is cancelled due to some “miscommunication” with the venue management.

Last Sunday, March 11, Kat Dalisay, the founder of Manic Nightnings Production and the head event organizer of Arcadia posted an explanation on Facebook why the event could not push through with its original schedule which was on March 17.

“Due to miscommunication, the management of the venue of Arcadia 2018 disallowed any events before the longawaited international prestigious sports event happening at the same venue the week after Araw ng Davao weekend to avoid chances of any disruptions or delays for the big set up and preparations despite our early booking last November 23,2017,” read Dalisay’s post on Facebook.

Dalisay apologized and said that purchased ticket or paid VIP tables for Arcadia 2018 will be refunded through the reseller or the establishments where the tickets were purchased.

However, as Arcadia 2018 may not be pushed through for Araw ng Dabaw, Dalisay said a “bigger and better” Kadayawan 2018 – Arcadia is coming wherein international and local DJs are coming as well.

Included in the original line-up of the guest DJs were famous Ace Ramos, Marc Marasigan, X Factor, Victor Pring, Jessica Milner, MVRXX, and DJ Torch. Dalisay has yet to announce specifically if these guest DJs will still be present during the Kadayawan 2018 Arcadia.

As games and bar tour games are being conducted by Manic Nightnings Production to give away Arcadia tickets, Dalisay said they will carry on the names of the winners for their free tickets to Arcadia on August of this year.

“Let us celebrate Araw ng Davao with a festive vibe, patronize

our local bars that prepared a good line up of DJs, and support the line-up of festivities that our local government has prepared for us,” she said.

Manic Nightning Production is the team behind Carte Blanche.
