During his inspection, Gaerlan also monitored the entry of the passengers and supervised the security personnel manning the checkpoint. He then embarked on buses and asked the drivers to show their documents.

“We randomly checked so we are assuring na itong ating mga commuters ay safe through constant supervision ng ating mga tao and random inspection, hopefully matanggal talaga natin yong mga hindi roadworthy na mga vehicles,” Gaerlan added.

He also gave the DCOTT management a 9.9 score, with 10 as the highest, to give room for improvement.

He further assured the public that the security personnel are on alert in securing their safety especially against lawless elements.

“Security wise, we have enough personnel. Nakita natin yong sistema dito from entrance yong submission of inspection of baggages, identification for potential wanted persons or mga wanted terrorist and also may random K9 units to check kung mayroong explosive or explosive substances,” Gaerlan said.
