Congratulation finishers, thank you stakeholders
ON April 2-6, 2018, the country’s public school learners in the Kindergarten, Grade 6, Grade 10 and Grade 12 will have their Moving Up/Graduation Ceremonies. Particularly, Grade 12 will have their maiden graduation, the completion of the K to 12 Curriculum. Below are the excerpts of the graduation messages of DepEd Secretary Leonor M. Briones and DepEd Region 11 Director Atty. Alberto T. Escobarte, CESO III.
This is the excerpt of the message of DepEd Sec. Briones. “On behalf of the Department of Education (DepEd), I commend your determination, perseverance and hard work which led you to this milestone. Whether this is your moving-up, completion, or graduation ceremony, what matters is that you have triumphed in this journey.
It is our goal to ensure that the K to 12 Program empowers you, our dear learners, to become critical thinkers and problem solvers both in the local and global communities. I am positive that you have learned not only to memorize facts and formulae, but also to relate these facts and theories to what is happening in the real world. As stated in this year’s theme, “K to 12 Learners: Ready to Face Life’s Challenges,” we hope we have equipped you with 21st century skills and lifelong competencies through quality education that is accessible, relevant, and liberating for all.
As you reminisce your travails and rejoice your achievements, always remember that your teachers, parents, families, fellow learners, school officials and personnel, community members, education partners, and government leaders are always with you every step of the way. Let them serve as your inspiration to dream and strive not only for your own success, but more so for this country’s progress.
Whatever path you will pursue after this momentous occasion, may you continue to uphold the core values of your alma mater and DepEd – Maka-Diyos, Maka-tao, Makakalikasan, and Makabansa. Bear in mind that while education is your right, it also bestows upon you a greater responsibility to contribute to the betterment of our society.”
Following is the excerpt of the message of RD Escobarte. “Firstly, we are proud for the most esteemed maiden batch of the Senior High School as they are ready on the four exits of the K to 12 BEP such as university life, middle level skills development, entrepreneurship and employment. In the same way we are delighted to usher the Grade 6 graduates to the secondary institutions for them to enrich their learning and experiences as the lessons in the different learning areas would be a bit more complex than in the elementary level.
Further, we acknowledge the schools heads, faculty and administrative staff whose leadership is instrumental in the completion of this academic year. Undeniably, their dedicated service is contributory in
advancing performance and ensuring easy transition of learners on what had been set out for in the curriculum, Likewise, jubilant to witness the attainment of our learners are their parents and members of the family. We thank them for the bonding, collaboration and assistance that demonstrate innumerable ways of caring and valuing partnership.
Equally important is the effort done by the local officials and other education stakeholders. We are appreciative for their strong support thereby making our schools safe and conducive to learning environment. Thank you for addressing various concerns on facilities, furniture and fixtures, teacher’s development, learning resource, tools and equipment and other learner’s needs.”
