Palace warns of 'judiciary fixer' using name of Duterte kin

-

MANILA - Malacañang on Monday, May 21, vehemently warned judges and justices against an alleged "fixer" who is using the name of President Rodrigo Duterte's granddaughter to influence cases.

Speaking to Palace reporters, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque Jr. identified the alleged fixer as the husband of the President's former daughter-in-law.

"We are also warning the public, including judg- es and justices, against the husband of the former wife of the President's son. He is using the name of the President's granddaughter to fix the cases. To judges and justices, do not entertain this fixer," Roque said.

"He is not a relative of the President. Sad to say, he has connection with the granddaughter, but we could not do anything about that. Nevertheless, he does not have the au-

thority to use the name of the President and the President's granddaughter," he added.

Roque said the government would not hesitate to slap the fixer with criminal charges, if he continues his case-fixing scheme.

Duterte has two sons, former Davao City vice mayor Paolo Duterte and Sebastian Duterte. Only Paolo has a former wife, Lovelie Sangkola.

Paolo and Lovelie have three children, including Isabelle who became controversial when she held her debut pictorial in Malacañang and later engaged in a word war with her father on social media. SunStar Philippines
