-

PAG-IBIG Fund awarded a house and lot package to a fisherman based in Zamboanga City after he won the agency's Labor Day celebration raffle.

Pag-ibig Fund’s Officer-in-Charge for Western Mindanao Mary Joanne I. Reyes and Assistant Department Manager Eric Ignacio F. Matutino presented the facsimile key to Dennis M. Sesaldo, winner of the house and lot package donated by Pag-Ibig Fund and raffled off during the 116th Labor Day Celebration held on May 1, 2018 in Zamboanga City. The house and lot will be sourced from Pag-Ibig Fund’s foreclosed properties.

Sesaldo is a 39-yearold fisherman and a Pagibig Fund member for 65 months. He lives in Barangay Sinunuc, Zamboanga City with his partner and three children.

“Pag-Ibig Fund worked with the Department of Labor and Employment in the celebration of Labor Day this year. We support President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in his vision to prioritize the rights and benefits of our Filipino workers. Being a true Filipino Worker’s Fund, Pag-Ibig Fund will continue to provide programs and services that will cater to the savings and housing needs of all Filipino workers,” said Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) and Pag-ibig Fund Chairperson Eduardo D. del Rosario.

Pag-ibig Fund Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Acmad Rizaldy P. Moti added, “Pag-ibig Fund caters to all types of workers, including those working in public or private companies, overseas or self-employed, and even those in the informal sectors or other working groups such as farmers, kasambahays, fisherfolks, street vendors, and the like.”

Pag-ibig Fund lowered its interest rates to make home acquisition more affordable to its members: 3% per annum for socialized housing loan worth P450,000 and below, and 5.375% per annum for one-year fixing for its regular housing loan. Pag-Ibig Fund’s savings programs also continue to be stronger, which allowed the Fund to declare a 7.61% dividend rate for its members in 2017.
