Card SME Bank opens CDO Branch

CARD SME Bank opened its branch in Cagayan de Oro City on April 23, 2018 in a bid to cater to more micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Northern Mindanao.

The newest branch is located in the heart of the city along Pabayo street near the corner of Cruz Taal. This is the bank’s 26th branch after inaugurating its Rosario, Batangas branch a week ago.

“This is our 26th branch and we will open four more branches within the year as we continue our commitment to support and develop MSME's nationwide. Each branch we open is a step closer to achieving CARD MRI's mission of poverty eradication,” Aristeo A. Dequito, President and CEO of the bank, said during the opening ceremony.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Teodoro A. Sabuga-a Jr., CDO Acting City Administrator and OIC for City Social Welfare and Development Office together with Card MRI Managing Director Flordeliza Sarmiento, Card SME Bank Vice Chair and Senior Adviser Mary Jane Perreras, Executive Vice President and COO Cynthia Baldeo, Card SME Bank Board Members Marlene Algire, Marilen Ruiz, Milagros Rojas, and Gloria Estrellado including Board Consultant Benito Pagaspas and Board Observer Abundia Manabes.

Selected officers and staff from various Card MRI institutions, members, and clients and business partners were also present.

Card SME Bank has its first bank opened for Mindanaoans at General Santos City, then the second was at Zamboanga City. PR
