program design, which was already approved, it's possible that we will start before the end of June or July)," he said.

Alparaque said that the hardware and software for the Information Technology (IT) component of the project is yet to be procured.

In a previous interview with Sun.Star Davao Alparaque said that the project tied up with the City Information and Technology Center, City Accountant’s Office, City Treasurer’s Office, City Budget Office will help reduce number of hours of processing payroll, since this new system, will not require daily time records and summary of monthly attendance.

A centralized system will be placed to record immediately the attendance of the employees, after they time-in and out using their biometrics.

He said that this system will benefit those job order and contract of service workers who were deployed on the field since they will no longer need to fill daily time records.

He said that the CITC will be the one to develop the system using the existing equipment so they will only need few additional equipment.
