1-K expected to join Migrant Worker’s Day

SOME 1,000 active and inactive Overseas Filipino Worker (OFWs) will converge for the nationwide celebration of the 23rd Migrant Worker’s Day on June 9 at the New City Hall Atrium, Tagum City, Davao del Norte.

Newly-installed Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (Owwa) 11 director Petrona M. Bergado, during yesterday's Kapehan sa Dabaw at The Annex of SM City Davao, invited OFWs who are in Tagum City and even in nearby cities and municipalities to join the one-day event.

Anchored on the theme, “Kabuhayan at Teknolohiya Para sa OFWs at Pamilya”, the activity will start from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. This is in partnership with the local government unit of Tagum City.

“Those who have relatives in Tagum and nearby areas, they can proceed to the City Hall to participate in this activity,” she said.
