1-K expected to join Migrant Worker’s Day

SOME 1,000 active and inactive Overseas Filipino Worker (OFWs) will converge for the nationwide celebratio­n of the 23rd Migrant Worker’s Day on June 9 at the New City Hall Atrium, Tagum City, Davao del Norte.

Newly-installed Overseas Workers Welfare Administra­tion (Owwa) 11 director Petrona M. Bergado, during yesterday's Kapehan sa Dabaw at The Annex of SM City Davao, invited OFWs who are in Tagum City and even in nearby cities and municipali­ties to join the one-day event.

Anchored on the theme, “Kabuhayan at Teknolohiy­a Para sa OFWs at Pamilya”, the activity will start from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. This is in partnershi­p with the local government unit of Tagum City.

“Those who have relatives in Tagum and nearby areas, they can proceed to the City Hall to participat­e in this activity,” she said.
